A good paleo flour
For paleo cooking, this flour works well as a thickener for gravies and sauces.To date I haven't found any kind of non grain flour that works for that. The usual suggestionsare to use tapioca or arrowroot flour, both of which turn gummy and don't work well for thickening.This flour also works well as a very light coating for fish fry.

Not what I thought it was. They included grinding not just the inside of the water chestnut not the peels as well. I was wanting a white powdery substance to cook with. Not a off white color

This isn't from an actual nut which makes it safer for those with allergies!
I had never heard of this before but I researched it and it doesn't come from a nut at all. Water chestnuts are not nuts! My son has a lot of allergies and since this isn't a nut, I can use this flour in lots of recipes for him.

Received Expired product
I was looking forward to trying this out, but the flour I received expired almost 5 months ago. Went right into the trash.

Not that same kind... weird smell...
Not the same kind that I was looking for to make the Chinese water chestnut cake. It also smell weird.
