Heavy duty rubber barrier strip prevents rain water from flooding my garage.
I cemented this rubber barrier strip (about a 7/8" ridge height) to the garage floor, parallel to the back edge of the garage door to prevent water from flooding the garage. The newly repaired garage door was set to close snugly onto the leading edge of the rubber strip. Now the garage floor that used to be covered with 2-4 inches of water after a rain storm, is bone dry. Success. I used a waterproof outdoor adhesive, applied in 3 strips via calking gun, to the garage floor. The length of the barrier strip was more than sufficient to handle a standard single car garage door opening. The barrier has been in use for several months with no signs of wear or flattening out.

Finally a dry garage
After replacing the bottom seal on the garage door and still getting a trail of water coming through during heavy rain I decided to install this, and after a couple days of heavy rain I'm confident in saying this worked. Installed really easy, just lay it out, cut to size, push under closed door until it stops, mark and glue. I used a tube of adhesive for the 16' door, and another on the 8' door (but only needed half).

Good product and good value.
I just installed this in on my garage floor and am pleased with how things went. As others have said it's a good Idea to lay it out in the sun or in a warm area if it's cold outside. Once you figure out the best method to cut it, it was easy. I used a carpet knife to trim out the ends at the door rails. The weight/pressure from the closed door is recommended to hold it down after applying the sealant (I used pure silicone). I found that my door doesn't close even on the entire length of the strip and I had some areas where it didn't want to stay flat at the edge. I went back over the outside edge with another round of silicone to make sure there weren't any gaps coming up. I also ran some silicone beyond the ends and under the garage posts to make sure water doesn't go around the strip and enter on the ends. It has taken all the light I used to see under the door so it looks good to keep things out. So far so good but we'll see when the rain comes.

Does what it’s supposed to for a fair price
This product is excellent. It is a high quality rubber that was very easy to install using polyurethane sealant. This was installed during the winter months, contoured to the concrete perfectly, and absolutely stopped all water and wind from coming in under my garage door. I will update if it fails or has any issues but right now I highly recommend it

Should come with adhesive.
The door seal is good but it doesn’t come with the adhesive. I checked and found liquid nails that was recommended.it didn’t work for a spot that got water on it.came loose and now I have purchased a adhesive from Europe that is supposed to be the right product.will try it when the weather gets better.

Harder to Form Tight Seal on Garage Door
I bought this seal because we live in the country and didn't want to take the chance of any type of rodents trying to get inside the garage. However, because of the wire mesh inside the black seal they do not form as good a seal on the bottom of the door. I tried changing the force the garage door uses to push down and even bought a seal to glue down to the concrete but I still have some small areas where it does not seal. If I had it to do over I would just buy a normal garage seal.

Solved my problems
This solved my rodent issue in the garage. I had a gap big enough for those critters to crawl into the garage - now they can’t get through to chew up things! Amen!! Small gaps made the difference. I was amazed how much damage they could do to my car hoses - thank u so much

Buy this
I bought this over a year ago, and I don’t often write reviews, but I have to come back over a year later and give this 5 stars. I ironically purchased this to help with some pest problems in our garage, however it’s doing more than just that. We had over 5” of rain last night and our drive way was completely flooded - it was like a small lake with sticks and leaves floating about. I was expecting to walk into a mess this morning when I went into the garage, but thanks to this rubber strip, it was completely dry. Some water came in the sides where this stripping can’t wrap around, but 98% of our garage was dry. I 100% attribute that to this product, as water had come into the e tore garage in the past prior to installing this. If you install it right, it will work.
