After I first installed it, it did not work. It was very much like the float was up and the needle closed.I sprayed starting ether in the air cleaner and it ran but stopped when the ether did.I pulled the carburetor and realized, comparing it to the weight of the original, it was heavier. I shook it without any results. I inverted it and saw a slight weeping of a viscous greenish fluid. I blew into the fuel inlet with the carb inverted and the slight weep began to speed up. After about 15 seconds, it had stopped insofar as I could determine. Clearly it was test fluid that had not been drained and would not be displaced by a gravity fed gas line on a mower. I wiped down the throat of carb with carb cleaner and reinstalled. The mower started immediately and runs at all speed setting perfectly. Aside from that small issue, and I relate it in case you have a carb that doesn't seem to work... check before installing and be sure it is empty. This carburetor works better than the original when it was new.

Did not work for me. Several issues.1. The choke plate was out of its guide so the choke would not move. I had to re-center to use choke.2. Engine surged and popped after installing. I tried to adjust and the adjust cap would not stay on and then the adjustment screw broke. I purchased this to replace my oem carb with a sticking choke. I put that carb back in when this wouldn't work and it was fine. I will just pay up for the oem replacement to fix my choke issue.

The carburetor arrived quickly & fit my 12 hp Briggs the same as the original. It started up & ran well. I only had to slightly adjust the fuel mixture screw to lean it out a bit. After 4 weeks it is still ok.

The old carberator was surging and had no power, not to mention the fact that the choke was sticking. I installed this on my cc760es and it immediately fixed the problem with no adjustment necesary. P.s. the "factory" carb is $169.

The Briggs and Stratton that I installed this in wouldn't work... the engine would pop and race high RPM and I could not control the RPM with the throttle. I adjusted the needle valve to see if that would make a difference and it didn't... Looks like I will be buying OEM for the Briggs...

Fit and works perfect on our Craftsman DRM 500 riding mower. Came quickly in the mail. We are very happy.
