When fresh lemons are not available, this has been an alternative choice. Recently, I tried freezing citrus fruits with reasonably excellent results. The balance between greasy, refrigerated, frozen, dehydrated, freeze dried, buried root vegetables, canned is always a balance between available ways to transport, store, frequency of shopping available, types & sizes of storage space, ebb and flow of people in the house, availability of water for food preparation, and so forth.
