Usable but not quite what I'm used to.
Not as sticky as it should be. Didn't stick to cardboard very well.

Not tacky enough
The best drafting tape was Scotch 3m, but it is no longer being made, so I decided to try this. It is a little bit better than the Blick drafting tape, but not tacky enough for temporarily holding my tracing paper in place. It would probably work well however for airbrushing.

Perfect
Iβd say this is the perfect drafting tape, as in for drafting. Just the right amount of strickieness for using on a drafting table, on drafting paper, with drafting tools. Maybe people doing something other than drafting should buy a product for that purpose.

Useful for sheet music!
I write/arrange music on my computer for a band. In the past, when I printed out individual parts that spilled over onto a 2nd or 3rd page, I used 3M drafting tape to bind the sheets together (i. e., to keep them organized and stationary on a music stand). That product, however, seems to have disappeared from the market. I have found that regular masking tape and "cellophane" tape are awkward and can sometimes eventually stain through the paper. As an experiment, I recently bought a roll of this Pro Art drafting tape and used it for the binding. I found that it does the job for me as well as 3M did. I will be ordering more and will be using it from now on.

Inconsistent between purchases, otherwise good product
I have purchased this product several times, being a first year architecture student, because I burn through tape building models or mounting my medium to my drawing surface, I was very sad to receive a roll that fails to adhere to anything at all a majority of the time. In contrast, the first roll of drafting tape I recieved was considerably more consistent in how it adhered to the drawing surface and my media but was easily removed without damaging my project. I hope in the future I have better luck with the product.

Meh.
It won't tear your paper but it also isn't great at holding your painting down. I have to use a stronger masking tape to hold this one down.

GOOD MASKING TAPE
I BOUGHT THIS DRAFTING TAPE BECAUSE OF THE WIDTH, LENGTH, AND PRICE. I FINALLY HAD REASON TO USE THIS TAPE - COULDN'T DO SO SOONER. CAN'T WRITE A REVIEW ON WHAT I HAVEN'T TRIED. IT SERVES THE PURPOSE. IT DID NOT TEAR MY DRAWING, DIDN'T LEAVE ANY RESIDUE, AND PROTECTED; THE AREAS I WANTED TO PROTECT. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?

the tape did not stick. I use the tape on greeting cards
I make greeting cards and use the tape to provide clean borders but not rip the card paper. The card is a heavy cold press velum that holds up to most of my mediums. The last order of tape did not work well and did not stick but started to come off when I was working the borders of the card.

It sticks
what can I say, it's art tape...it sticks well but not too much. It doesn't tear the paper when taking it off and doesn't leave my drafting table sticky. It works.
