I Like This Stove A Lot
I read a lot of reviews about this stove and was extremely reluctant to try it. We'd been using an ancient Coleman for 35 years and that morning pumping of the tank and the waiting for water to boil for coffee and the small space for large skillets was a driving factor in my decision to take the plunge. I think I now understand why so many people have trouble with the high and low flame issue. Many people have electric stoves at home and aren't used to adjusting an actual flame. I have used a gas stove all my life so I just watch the flame to adjust it to the setting I need. (An electric stove confounds me and I burn everything when I try to cook at my daughter's house. Sorry, Marcie!) So with this stove you must watch the flame. If you aren't used to adjusting actual fire, you may struggle to cook eggs and pancakes with this stove. Now, the knob seems to have a springy action to it, so when you want a really low flame, it's liable to pop back up to a higher flame. You have to keep at it. You can also continually monitor and adjust the flame to high and low to keep things cooking. It's a hassle at first, but it becomes second nature after a couple of uses. Another problem the reviews mention are the wobbly legs. Yeah, they're kinda "tinny" so place your stove away from campsite traffic and maybe even put rocks around the feet of the stove to keep yourself from knocking into them. It'll kind of sway if you do.Finally, burners tend to cook hot in the middle (just like the old Coleman) so you're going to have to move the food around in your skillet to keep it cooking evenly. So there are 3 negative issues: the high-lo flame which can be mastered; the wobbly legs which can be mastered; and the hot spot in the middle of the pan, which can be dealt with. Now for the good stuff. If you need your morning coffee right away to get that camping trip rocking, this is the stove to buy. You take you a french press and a pound of good coffee, some bottled water, and a saucepan and you will not care if them legs wobble. You will have boiling water for coffee in short order. There is room on the burners for two large skillets side-by-side. It has a built-in piezo sparker to ignite the burners, but if you hate that loud noise breaking into your beautiful morning (or you don't want the kids to wake up) you can use a butane bbq lighter or a match. The legs are tall enough for an average person (I'm a 5'7" tall woman), but you can leave them off and cook on a picnic table if you prefer. The bottom of the stove doesn't get hot, so it won't burn the table. The legs store store in brackets on the underside of the stove. It cleans much easier than the old-school Coleman. There is no case, but we never had one for the old one. We just kept the box for now. It closes up like a suitcase. If you buy it, play with it before you take it out so you can understand all those little issues people are complaining about, especially the flame thing. But I really think you'll like it.

Whoa!
I wanted a camp stove that didn’t take up precious table space. This was the perfect solution. It was less expensive than other free-standing options, but much smaller and lighter weight. Easy to set up and take down. The burners do run hot, but I was able to get the flame right after working at it. I’d say it cooks as well as our other Coleman grill stove combo. It boils water so fast!!I couldn’t find a storage bag, so we keep this in a pillow case and it works well. We also purchased the cast iron pan designed to fit Coleman hyperflame stoves and we liked the combo.

Works great!! Would buy another.
This is a great unit . It cooked our meals perfectly with traditional pans . The small Coleman tanks fit perfect . Just use a rubber band or ziptie to hook to the fold out holder in back . The wind deflector worked as advertised while i was grilling . 5 star !! Easy to clean as well . I kept box to put away after use . Legs were sturdy but prone to being kicked if your not paying attention.

Best product, but can use some fixing!
I bought this propane grill for camping. It 100% did it’s job. But the only downside is that it was too powerful. It was almost like it didn’t have a low setting. It stays pretty much at steady medium and high, with no low setting. It sounds like I shouldn’t be complaining at all, because in situations like camping, you want the most powerful and the sturdiest. It definitely checked those boxes. Changing gears, I really loved the ability to have my grill as a stand-alone. It was super convenient and saved so much space. It folds and disassembles easily and you can store it in your car for transport. It didn’t take much space at all in the car, granted it was an SUV. But overall I give this Coleman grill a 4 out of 5 stars, mainly because I can’t simmer anything.

Almost perfect but....
The design wins in a lot of ways but fails so epicly in others. It's like JBL engineered the good parts and uncle Ed figured out the rest with a saws-all and duct tape.Temp settings are hot and nuclear. That's a common issue with propane stoves though. After you hit max heat you can still turn the knobs a full turn.Set up is easy. I wish there were a few more height settings. Tall people and short people might not like the one fixed height. It's not as stable as I would like a slight bump or aggressive stir might topple it. Be very careful.Table top use is fine but remember to take the legs out so you don't melt them.Storage fails. High marks for the compact leg storage but failure in the overall storage dimensions. It's 4" taller than it needs to be. You can't use any of the older Coleman storage bag/cases. If the base legs would fold in to make the unit more compact it would get a 5 star rating.Windy conditions are no problem with this stove. I was out in Utah's west desert with 35 mph winds. The stove stayed lit and worked like a champ. The leveling feet are a good idea but they are hard to adjust. I glued a bubble level to the front and side and it made setting up and leveling out 100 times easier.Overall a good stove. It doesn't fit in my chuck box because of the base footprint but other than that I highly recommend it.

but I was able to regulate the heat just fine. This stove will get hot and you have ...
We bought this to use while camping. The stove is lightweight and is very portable. Some people complain about burner and temperature regulation, but I was able to regulate the heat just fine. This stove will get hot and you have to pay attention to it. it is not your house kitchen stove, it's a camp stove. A very good one. The stove has legs that can be a little wobbly but we use it on a picnic table most of the time. If your looking for a very portable good camp stove I would highly recommend this one. I wish Coleman made a carrying/storage bag for this stove. It would be nice to protect it while being stored or traveling.

Not very good quality.
The ignition system is horrible. Old style cheap push button ignition ( not electronic ignition as stated) The button is so hard to push you have to hold the stove securely or it will tip over , even with pots on the stove. Legs are very convenient but not very sturdy. Yes it’s very light weight but is that necessarily a good thing. Overall kind of cheap quality for that price point. Cheap Ignition is a deal breaker.
