My 8 year old fella has been throwing up his meal for a couple of years now. I thought it was because he ate too fast so I went different routes of feeding..higher dish, slow feeding ball, wet, no wet..and nothing helped this throwing up of undigested food. I read about cats with IB and how they shouldn’t have chicken or beef. So I took away his Rachel Ray nutrish which he loved and began him on the Orijen 6 fish raw kibbles. He LOVES this much to my relief because he is a picky eater. I started slow so he wouldn’t eat fast and throw it up. But he didn’t throw up!! He’s been on this food a week and I now keep enough in his bowl now to graze when he wants to and he hasn’t thrown up once in this week! He also appears happier, and more playful. If this food works for him and his puking issue is over then it’s worth every dime of my investment as it is pricey.UpdateAlmost 6 weeks in and he hasn’t once thrown up undigested food or anything for that matter. I’m thrilled yet sorry I didn’t discover this years ago. Poor guy must have felt awful after eating.

This is the only food I can feed my cat, she’s always had a really sensitive stomach and other foods make her sick. I’ve been able to control her weight gain with this food and she seems normal since starting her on this product. Her stool is also more solid and healthy looking.

I have a very skinny stray that I’m trying to fatten up. I’m too old to take care of an animal so I decided to feed this stray. He’s about a year old. He at first was afraid of me, now when his self serve kibble container is empty, he’ll meow and meow until I fill it from the top. He now doesn’t run when I’m putting his food out. If we’re too old and handicapped to have an animal, we can at least do the humane thing and give an animal a quality food, which this certainly is because it has no grain in it. I buy the big bag because it’s a little more affordable for me. Also I get a discount with subscribing. Don’t forget to give them water.

I have been buying this for years. I notice sometimes the quality is not consistent. But most of the time it is good just from the look. My cats love it, even at the first time I gave this food to them. But this time they would rather starve for a day than touching it. I know something must be wrong. So I took a careful look. Then I know why. This is not the same thing as before. Each bean has different shape, with different color, and the surface is full. It used to be all beans of similar color, similar shape, smooth surface, and smelled good. I did notice the smell was different when I opened the bag, but I thought probably fish is different from time to time and it is hard to make it consistent. But the fact that my cats refuse to touch this told me this time it was not right. Amazon is willing to refund, but what can I do with this full bag of food! It is a waste of food :-(

I've been feeding my 8 yr old long hair female w IBS this food for almost 2 years with no issues. I also feed her a grain free wet food w added probiotics. Since starting her on the Orijen she stopped having hairballs & her poop was no longer hard as rocks. The wet food helped even more. It's really important to give your cat wet food in addition to dry kibble. I know no dry food is preferred but honestly this food is cheaper than wet only and this bag lasts me three mos. I have a 2 yr old domestic short hair who was a rescue. She was living in an autobody shop eating food that was $3 a bag and mostly grain & dyes. Her coat was rough & dull. Within a couple months she is now a silky & shiney black. When I took her in for a check up after a few months the vet was blown away with how beautiful her coat was. I know Orijen changed plants from Canada to Kentucky & I was hesitant to switch bc of stories of cats getting ill. I used to buy the Cat & Kitten blend for years. I thought the Fish would be safer bc I'd heard less about this blend. I've had no issues to date. And I'm very happy to spend the extra to keep them both healthy. Which means less vet visits! Start w a small bag if you're not sure if your cats will like it.

Its good and my cat loves it. Ive been getting the 4lb bags that are resealable for some reason when i got the 12lb bag its not resealable? Youd think the bag ill have longer would have a better seal instead of none for the steep cost?

I've researched and tried several different foods. If I had the time and means I would prepare a raw diet at home for my three cats but I don't. It never really crossed my mind to feed them anything but the food at the grocery store until the last couple years where more reports started surfacing of pet health decline due to poor food quality.2/3 of my cats are very picky, they let me know right away whether or not a food is actually good or not. It took a while but we've finally settled on Orijen. After eating it the last 6 months, their overall health is pretty outstanding. My vet commented on their great coat and ideal body weight. Two of my cats are very large so finding a food that kept them lean was hard. I have two 6 year old adults and a 2 year old young adult and all three are equally active indoor/outdoor cats. They live inside but enjoy going outside during morning hours.They LOVE the taste. We've tried Regional Red but are now trying Six Fish. They get breakfast and dinner servings with an added can of ZiwiPeak wet food in the morning. The cost is a little high but their health is proof of the worth.The bag was delivered intact and the kibble itself had a strong fish odor, clearly fresh.
