Very well made, comfortable pen.
This is pen #4 for me. I love losing these. 2 from microsoft, one cheaper pen I just did not like, and now this one.The positives:This pen feels right in the hand. They lengthened it up to the size of a regular pen and it has the right heft.It is extremely precise. It grabs the screen from further away than the microsoft which I have found nice for quick pokes at buttons. The negatives. There is no top button. This is meant for graphic artists so the top is an eraser. I bought it knowing this, so no stars off, but...I miss my give me a screenshot button. It will not charge from a keyboard. Only from usbc. The battery lasts quite a long time and it does warn you that it is low. This is again because it is longer. And my large hands enjoy that tradeoff.Because it has such a strong transmitter sometimes the screen "sees" it when playing video and I have to move it about 18" away.None of these are big enough negatives fot me not to give this 5*. Now I just need to not drop ot down a sewage drain or have a dog eat it!Well worth its price will buy again.

Everything just works
This works just as well as the Surface Pen that it replaced. One of the main reasons I went with this one is the tail eraser. I don't like having to use the side button to erase. The side button does take a bit of force to press down, but I see that as a good thing. I had another pen that barely required any force and I found myself unintentionally pushing it fairly often. Tilt and pressure sensitivity seems to work fine. I couldn't tell a difference. It's thinner than the Surface Pen, so that going to take a little getting use to. I'm not a fan of the USB port, but given the price, I can live with it. Overall, I like it so far. Should I need another pen, this is the one I'm getting.

Solid pen at a great price
Update: one of my criticisms was that there was no cover for the USB-C charging port. It's not identified in the instructions, but there is actually a rubber cover for the port included in the package. It's in the same place as the extra pen nib. I prefer the sliding cover that can't be lost, but there IS at least a cover of some kind. I've edited the original text below.-------------------I'm using this with a 2024 HP Spectre x360. The Spectre includes a great pen also, but it doesn't have the eraser. It has two buttons and you can assign either or both of them to erase, but I have just found myself flipping the stylus over when I want to erase.Enter the Metapen M2.Being an MPP 2.0 pen, it performs essentially the same as the HP pen, but includes the eraser in the normal place. It charges fast and required no hassles at all to work with the Spectre. Took it out of the box, gave it a little shake to wake it up and it was off to the races. So why 4 stars rather than 5?It does have the magnets to attach to the side of the laptop. While they are adequate, they aren't as strong as the magnets on the HP pen. I don't think I could comfortably just stick this in my laptop bag with the pen stuck to the side and expect it to remain there like the HP pen does. This isn't a deal killer though. Especially at this price. Almost half of the price of a replacement HP pen. This pen isn't a bad choice at all. For my muscle memory, the eraser is great and I'm willing to accept the weaker magnets in the bargain.

Works great for Surface Go 2, possibly better than the MS Surface Pen
I've been using this pen for several months now and I can definitely say this is a VERY good pen.The M2 feels quite comfortable in hand much like an apple pencil and writes with no lag. The nibs are solid plastic, but not too hard where it'd damage the screen and they rotate on the head of the pen to "roll" across the screen to reduce friction. However, using a "paperlike" or textured screen protector REALLY wears down the nibs fast, so stick with a bare screen or regular glass protector if you'd like to have some longevity to your pen nibs. Switching nibs is pretty easy, just pull em out and pop them in. The M2 also has a stronger magnet than the normal Microsoft surface pen to keep it attached to the device (mine usually stays mounted firmly on the side when not in use). No software or drivers needed to get things going, just hover it over the screen and it's good to go. While it would be nice to have some software to adjust things like pen pressure or remap the eraser/side button, it overall functions just fine for my needs. It charges via USB-C and I typically top off the battery between drawing or while taking a break, typically less than 15-30mins at a time.I typically use my surface for drawing and animating on the go rather than just taking notes, so having a good pen is very important to make the experience more comfortable and to maintain decent workflow for art purposes. One thing I CANNOT stand from most non-wacom styluses is lag and poor accuracy, so the responsiveness of this pen is notably very good for an MMP device. Attached are a couple of doodles I've made with the M2 and my "set up" with the Go and M2 for size comparison. While tools don't make the artist, they certainly can help and this pen makes my drawings on my travel device near indiscernible from quick sketches made on my wacom display tablet and desktop set up.I'd argue this pen is even better than the standard surface pen, especially for the price point.Bonus, it comes with a few extra nibs and some metapen stickers lol

Excellent customer service!!!
I had a small issue with the metapen2 and contacted meta customer support. Rosie was absolutely brilliant! Very helpful! 10 of 10 recommend. I do not believe that I have ever had such an easy experience with an external company. Thank you meta, the customer service alone will have me returning for future purchases!

Great Pen!
Tried the M3 version, but this one’s MUCH better. Nice to switch out the ASUS 2.0 with sketchy nibs and this for line work with my tablet :)
