Food Grade Grease - 4oz Safe Lubricant for Kitchenaid Stand Mixer, Blenders, and Processors, Waterproof Silicone to Prevent Wear and Rust, Ideal for O Rings and Seals

I am a handyman and I use this when I repair plumbing fixtures. It is a good product.

Used this lubricant to install a new bath valve cartridge. Turning the valve on and off was as smooth as could imagined. Better than plumbers grease. Two for one pack added value.

The real deal. Greasy silicone....

Items arrived ok however they had some of the grease on the item itself I had to clean off. Perhaps a packaging issue. Otherwise would have provided a 5 star rating.

I use this grease for my stand mixer. Instead of using something that's not food safe, this is what I chose to use for safety. I don't know how grease from a gear could get into your food but why take the chance. It's a pretty small jar at 4 ounces but you don't need a lot. And since you probably only use this in the kitchen here and there, because it's food safe, it's probably going to last a very long time. It doesn't smell, and it reminds me a lot of the silicone grease I used for the garage tracks. It wipes off cleanly. I'm happy with it.

I have a couple of desiccators in my laboratory that have fritted glass seals that need to be greased to make them air tight for drying samples. The silicone grease I had been using was high vacuum grease and was too viscous to create an airtight seal easily, so I thought I would try this one. It does the job, but it's still not perfect. The consistency is odd in that it appears to have lumps in it and is relatively thin in other areas. I am able to scoop up enough product and spread it with my finger, then go over the application with my finger several times and smooth out the silicone to get it to perform properly. Also, it came with a tamper-resistant seal under the lid. I don't know where they got these seals, but they are bullet proof! Most of these seals can be opened by running your thumb nail around the inside of the rim, but this one refused to open even with a knife blade. Eventually I was able to penetrate the seal in the center and tear most of it out, but being a silicone grease, it was impossible to grip any of the seal material to remove it, and now it interferes with my ability to access the total contents to be able to stir it before sampling. Who in the world thinks this product needs a childproof anti-tampering military grade seal on it? I'm thinking I'll try Vaseline next, it should be easier to deal with, even though it's not silicone based.

Product was leaking from cap when received, no inner seal. Caution: while label indicates Food Safe, there is NO US Government certifications on the label that this is true. Made in China.

This food grease is working well for me. I have used it on my coffee grinders, after cleaning. The original grease got contaminated with coffee grounds and this grease has been working well as a replacement. It is easy to apply, and clean off using a paper towel.
